Church House will be running Strong Bonds Summer Activity Break between Mon 21 Aug - Fri 25 Aug 17. Strong Bonds is a US Army chaplaincy initiative which has been adapted for use in the BFG context to foster marriage and family relationships. The program was piloted and then used extensively by HQ Hohne Garrison for 3 years between 2013 -2015 under a full-time families' worker. Although the curriculum is based on material produced Relationship Central, a civilian organisation affiliated to the Church of England, the content of the programme does not impose religious beliefs or sentiments upon those who participate, but strives simply to enhance marriage and family relationships within the military context.
Throughout the week, couples and families will be accommodated at Church House under subsidised rates where they will enjoy our fine catering as well as be able to relax in the beautiful surroundings of Lübbecke. Monday evening will be a 'meet the family' session, but on Tuesday and Wednesday evening there will be separate guided activities for couples and children. The children's activities will be supervised by experienced DBS cleared staff and while the children have fun, the parents and couples will enjoy a relaxing evening exploring the meaning of marriage, the languages of love and effective communication with our team of experienced guides.
